Excursion Spotlight – London

Our latest excursion spotlight focuses on one of our students’ favourite excursions, London!

London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is an ever-present destination on our excursion timetable, such is its popularity with our students! On arrival in London, all our students visit one of London’s historic museums. This year, students will be exploring the British Museum.

The British Museum opened to the public on 15 January 1759 and is visited by 6 million people each year. The museum’s current galleries include Chinese ceramics, clocks and watches, Europe AD 1050-1540 and the Tomb-chapel of Nebamun: Ancient Engyptian life and death.

After the museum visit in the morning, students will separate into groups for their afternoon activities. These activities include a discovery tour of London which takes in the major tourist sights of the UK’s capital such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament and many more!  There will be plenty of time to fit in some shopping during the day too!
